FAQ - ECU Maverick

How Do I Ship My Part to Your Facility for Repair? Will You Coordinate the Pickup?

You have two options for shipping your part:

  • Arrange Your Own Shipping: You can send the part directly to us.
  • Pickup Option: For a reasonable fee, we can send a driver to pick up your unit. If you choose this option, please bubble wrap the part and place it in a box. The driver will bring the shipping label with them.

Will My Unit Require Reprogramming After It’s Fixed or Repaired?

Most of the items we repair, such as plug-and-play units, won’t require programming once you receive them back – simply reinstall them, and you're good to go. In rare cases where software replacement is necessary due to corruption, programming may be required. If this happens, we'll notify you and guide you through the process.

If I Buy a Part from You, Will It Fix My Issue?

Other issues with your vehicle might be causing the symptoms, even if they resemble the common faults we’ve listed. We strongly recommend a professional diagnostic check to rule out any other potential causes before making a purchase.

Important: If you purchase a replacement unit based on a misdiagnosis, we can't offer a full refund once the component is installed. Most parts require reprogramming, retesting, and remanufacturing after being returned, so we can only provide a 50% refund in such cases.

If you opt for the “Repair or Programming Service” due to a misdiagnosis, a testing fee plus return shipping will apply. If we find no fault with the unit, we’ll refund the remaining payment to you.

Important: If you’re unsure whether this part is causing the issue, we recommend seeking further professional advice before making the purchase.

If I Install a Repaired or Replacement Unit and Discover Something Else Was Causing the Issue, Can I Return It for a Full Refund?

If you discover another issue after installing a replacement part, you can typically return the item in perfect working condition. We will issue a full refund, minus programming, restocking, and shipping fees.

Do You Provide a Service for Removing and Reinstalling Parts?

As a specialized electronics rework company, we do not offer removal and refitting services. You'll need to arrange for the removal and refitting of your unit independently.

Can I Bring My Car to You?

Since we don’t provide removal or refitting services, bringing your car to our facility isn't an option. Please make arrangements for the removal and refitting of the unit on your own.

If I Drop Off My Unit Directly, Can It Be Tested or Rebuilt on the Same Day?

Please note that local drop-offs and pickups require prior arrangement. Same-day testing and repair services are available for an additional fee. For a quote, please contact us through the “Submit New Order” tab.

I Couldn't Find My Part on the Website. Can You Still Repair It or Provide a Programmed Replacement?

If you can't find your part or service on our website, don't worry! Simply submit the form online, and this service is free of charge. If we can assist, we'll contact you via email. If we're unable to help, we’ll provide the best alternative recommendation. Please note that this is a free service and not a bench test or evaluation.

What Happens if the Courier Misplaces or Loses My Package?

If your order goes missing during delivery, contact us to file a claim. Resolutions are determined on a case-by-case basis and vary depending on the specific part that was lost.

What Happens if My Part Is Damaged When I Receive It?

If your part arrives damaged, please contact us within 24 hours. We will coordinate with the courier to file a damage claim and work to resolve the issue quickly. Resolution will depend on the specific part involved. Please note, if we are not notified within 24 hours, we may be unable to assist with the claim.
